AXXERION HOSTING

The Axxerion servers are located at the 5000 m2 Easynet/Novaxess building at Schiphol-Rijk. The network, power supply and servers are fully redundant so that Axxerion can offer a high level of availability of the service and a secure environment. High speed connections are guaranteed by a direct connection to AMS-IX and transatlantic links.

Access: The entrance of the data center is protected through a steel gate, concrete poles and a raised bar. The prevents ram attacks with cars or trucks.

Electricity: The data center is connected to multiple electricity networks. This prevents power failure in case of a cable breach or malfunctioning transformer somewhere in the power grid.

UPS: Batteries and UPS systems level off voltage changes in the the electricity supply. Power supply is guaranteed even if the electricity network is down is case of a major disaster.

Diesel generators: Diesel generators ensure continued power supply if the electricity networks are down for a longer period. The data center has its own diesel supply that enable the generators to work for days.

Keys: The data center is guarded 24 hours per day and is only accessible to people that are on a special list. Physical access to the servers requires a chip card and two different keys.

Network: The Axxerion servers connect via four 1000 Mbit connections to AMS-IX and 155 Mbit connections to MCI UUNet, Level 3 and Versatel. The connections run via a Cisco 7600 router.
