IMPORT/EXPORT

Every organization has legacy information such as lists with persons, employees or assets. With the import module you can quickly make connections with other systems. You can define an exchange format in CSV or XML and create a mapping to fields in Axxerion. The data can be imported via a web browser, FTP or email. The import scheduler enables you to automatically synchronize your data every day or hour.

Internet: The import and export functions can be configured via Internet. You can link sytems on your internal network with the Axxerion servers using a standard Internet connection.

Mapping: For every column or element in the import file you can specify a mapping to an Axxerion object and field. Textual data will be converted to internal data formats such as date, yes/no or links to other objects.

Create: You can define one or more fields as keys. When importing new data the system checks if the object already exists to avoid duplicate information. If the object does not exist it will be created.

Update: By referring to an existing object in the import data the current information can be updated quickly. You can refer to an existing object by using one or more keys.

Deactivate: Objects that are created via an import contain information about the data source. Objects that do not occur in subsequent imports can be automatically removed, archived or deactivated.

Documents: Documents can be imported automatically by specifying an FTP account or mailbox. With email the documents are transferred as attachments. You can add an XML file for linking the documents to objects and folders.

Scheduler: The scheduler can be used to automatically run imports. You can set the frequency, time and day of week. The data files can be downloaded from an FTP site or mailbox.

Workflows: A workflow can automatically be started after an object or document has been imported. Tasks are generated for persons that for instance need to approve an invoice or respond to a request.

Export: After importing and processing the information can be exported again as a CSV, PDF or HTML file. You can automate the export using a scheduler.

Archive CD/DVD: You can order a DVD with all documents and a backup of your data in XML and CSV format. This DVD can be sent every month as part of your subscription.

In addition to exchanging information using CSV files it is also possible to make a direct link with other applications via the webservices API.
