PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
The product management module is used to keep track of information on products and services offered by your own organization or by third-parties. In addition to general information such as pricing, dimension and suppliers you can store photo's and documents such as user manuals or installation manuals. For each product category you can define specific attributes, which can then be used to search products.
The module can be configured for each user group by setting access rights to fields and functions. You can also define your own processes for modifying or creating data by defining custom workflows. Specific functions for your organization can be implemented on request. The standard functions of this module include:
Internet:
Changes are immediately visible and product information can be updated via a web browser. You can allow suppliers to update the information on their own products.
Categories:
You can create your own categories for assets and catalog items. Items in the catalog can be assigned to multiple categories.
Attributes:
You can define customer attributes for each asset category. For example in the category 'computer' you can add attributes 'memory' and 'disk size' for storing information that is relevant to computers only.
Documents:
All documents related to an item can be uploaded and attached so that they can be viewed online. Examples are user manuals, license agreements, photos or instruction videos.
Search:
You can search for products and services based on user-defined product characteristics. After selecting a product category the appropriate search fields appear in the search screen.
Assets:
Assets can be linked to items in the product catalog. This way you can quickly see where certain products are used and who is using them.
Inventory:
The integration with the inventory management module enables you to see the current stock level and the number of items that are ordered.
Assemblies:
You can define relationships between products. For example, a computer includes 2 speakers, a mouse and a keyboard.
Units:
For each product you can define separate units for currency, dimensions, weight, price and packaging. The units can be converted automatically for creating reports and purchase orders.
Import:
The product information, including specific categories and attributes, can be imported and exported via a web browser.
Catalog:
You can automatically create a catalog with photos and product information in PDF format. You can define if all items should be included or only a certain selection.
